Shannon Dean, a nineteen-year-old college student, is the sole survivor of a jumbo jet crash. She is haunted by the ghosts of her fellow passengers, who reveal to her that the crash was caused by a bomb, and then ask her to find and expose the bombers. Shannon reluctantly agrees, and soon realizes that the spirits of the deceased travelers will play an unusual role in helping her bring the bombers to justice. Shannon is also helped by Carl Trask, a gigantic, down-and-out former Olympic gold medal weightlifter.
